Death Valley National Park is located east of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the state of California. This arid zone park belongs to the Mojave Desert, it is the largest park in the United States. Because it is 86 meters below sea level, it has the hottest and driest climate in North America: The average temperature can reach 46°C in the shade… Death Valley holds the absolute heat record with a record recorded of 56.7°C in 1913.
We checked the weather stations carefully before this expedition. Until the last day, we were not sure if we could take this route. In summer, it is strongly advised not to venture there.
What a stunning landscape, a breathtaking panorama as far as the eye can see! Deep canyons, seas of sand, gaping craters, gigantic dunes... The fauna and flora are particularly rich there. A paradise for photographers. With an overflowing imagination due to its multiple subjects, Death Valley will be one of the most inspiring places from a photographic point of view.
