In the northwest of Arizona on the Colorado Plateau, is the Grand Canyon National Park, 450 km long (of which 350 km are in the national park), and covers a protected territory of 4,927 km². It was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

The Grand Canyon was carved by the power of the Colorado River, which flows 1,500 meters below. It rises in the Rocky Mountains and flows 2,333 km into the Gulf of California…

This remarkable site is an open book for geologists, a paradise for photographers because of its splendor, its light, its shapes and its colors! We could spend hours contemplating this masterpiece that nature offers us, amazed by the immensity. It is one of the most extraordinary parks in the United States.

It is also one of the most visited parks in the world...

According to UNESCO, of the 216 natural sites listed as World Heritage, at least 16 are in danger, threatened by human activities and increasingly frequent natural disasters.

The Grand Canyon and all classified American national parks are more than ever in danger.
