We leave California to head to the town of Laughlin, in southern Nevada, where we will spend the evening on the banks of the Colorado River... As a bonus, a magnificent sunset over the river and the desert on the horizon.
An unforgettable panorama!
Arizona is coming! Route 66 (US Route 66) is a former American road that connected Chicago (Illinois) to Santa Monica (California) between 1926 and 1985. It was the first paved transcontinental road in America. Since the early 1990s, movements have been created to ensure its preservation. Today, only a few preserved portions remain.
So we're going to take part of it in Arizona, while getting closer to the Grand Canyon National Park.
This road is legendary! It has inspired several songs, including "Get your kicks on" Route 66. The song has been covered by Chuck Berry and others ... This road is the symbol of freedom "feeling freedom"!
On the roads, across the landscapes of the United States with our camera and in the hollow of our ears our favorite music! What else?
